Sam X Wong is a poet and writer. Originally an island girl from Penang, Malaysia, she currently lives in Seattle, Washington. Her chapbook “hyperphagia” was chosen by Lynn Xu as a finalist for the Jubilat Makes A Chapbook Prize (2017), and she was also named a Fiction finalist in the AWP Intro Journals Project (2026). She has an MFA in Creative Writing from Western Washington University.
